Asia and Australia have had many engagements with Asia through a variety of different things. Australia engagement with Asia includes trade, investment, education, language capability, defence and strategic policy (The Spinney Press, 2013). In many shops and supermarkets there are many items that are made or produced from China, Vietnam and Taiwan. Nearly everything that is sold in a supermarket is produced overseas in Asia. Asia is the main country Australia import goods from overseas and it is also where many of our tourists come to either experience the culture or have their children or themselves be educated. Australia belief system is not much different to most Asian countries as they believe in Christianity.
Asia themselves engage with other Asian countries to import or trade goods. In Japan when I went in 2012 most of the goods that I saw where either made in China or Vietnam as products from those countries can be made more cheaper than in their own country. Tourism is also the same where most tourists in other Asian countries, especially China visit other countries. Around the Christmas holidays, Hong Kong have many tourists from China that come and visit famous attractions. It’s because of the tourist that the three main languages you hear in many areas are Cantonese, Chinese and English. Mainly to the whole world, Asia especially China is the main imports of good for many countries which provides a close connection with them.

Australia and Asia culture, society and environment is very different. Most Asian countries environment have buildings with very little greenery and homes crowded together. This is different to Australia where homes spacious spread with lots of greenery and buildings. Culture belief and the behaviour of the society differ as people belief and behaviour are different between countries. Australia is still improving it's engagement with Asia.
