Sustainability

Sustainability in all aspect is very important, especially the environmental sustainability of our planet Earth. Environmental sustainability involves us as a nation to take actions and make decisions to protect the world’s environment from many dangers that we caused (SmallBizConnect, n.d.).  No individual person is at fault but the whole population including businesses and individuals who are realizing the full impact that they have on the environment (SmallBixConnect, n.d.). There are many dangers that are caused to the environment such as air pollution, water pollution, deforestation and natural landmark. Many of the dangers are usually caused by using too much fossil fuels and building over areas where trees once grew. In Hong Kong the air is polluted, however from previous experience when my family and I visited Hong Kong you could hardly tell except for when it was cloudy. In other countries, such as Japan you can tell because you the smoke can be seen from the factories mixing in the air.

In the world today, environmental sustainability is a popular topic that is discussed in the media and the government (SmallBizConnect, n.d.). This is because of the rising temperature in Australia and the bushfires that are sometimes caused by the hotter temperature is due to climate change.

To enable the environment to be more sustainable, measure to reducing the impacts on the environment needs to be taken into consideration. The government are currently making short term implications to help reduce the impact on the environment as long term implications of the issues cannot be yet understood (SmallBizConnect, n.d.). Mainly business need to contribute more to environmental sustainability as they are the main producers of the cause and they are in a position where they can make a significant difference to the damage.
